General
We've all heard of fantasy football and baseball camps where adults can go and work out like the pros. You can go drive a stock car on race track and pretend to be Richard Petty. And we've all watched American Idol and Dancing With the Stars -- singing in the shower, we're sure we could win. So here's your chance to make your arts fantasy come true. What's your dream role? What famous person would you be, if you could, for a day? Are you a doodler that could be the next Picasso, if only someone saw your work displayed?
Bring your dreams to Church for the first Arts Fantasy Camp for Adults. Work with professionals from the fields of music, theatre, art, and production in a nurturing, loving environment (no Simon Cowell's here!).
Camp will kick-off after the 5 p.m. service on Sunday, 25 July. Sessions will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 5 - 9 p.m. in the Great Hall.
You can come for one night or all of them, choice is yours. Bring any materials you have and we'll help you get your act together.
Maybe there are a couple or group of you who'd like to do a scene from a play or musical. Maybe you have art work you'd like to display. This is a chance to practice with the pro's, get some tips, and perform for the people who love you best. Performance is not required, but for those who want the total experience, we will have a show on Saturday, 31 July immediately following the camp picnic at the church.
So dust off the music, get the band together and come on out for camp. Camp is free to adults, 18 and over. Contact Becky Patton at (703) 517-0380 or in email at . Let's have some fun and put on a show! A great opportunity to invite those friends and neighbors who need to laugh.
We are all busy living in this fast paced world, but are we too busy to be loved? As you dream of summer reading by the seashore or taking a break from packing school lunches, consider what life would be like giving and receiving love, growing in Christ, and growing together as God's family. Studies show and people witness to the blessings of care found in small groups. As stated by Carl George in one of his books, " A small group can hug you on a regular basis. If you're not in a small group, you've got to stand in line to be loved."
Want to know more about Small Groups at Epiphany? Check out the map and listing in the Gathering Place or contact Gin Edmunds 703-860-9088 or Krystal Apelquist 703-648-0923 today and take time for a hug!
If you are the parent of small children, you know how difficult it can be to have
some time for adult conversation and friendship. If so, come join us!
We meet once every other week at 3:00 Sunday Afternoon to discuss Christian
parenting, enjoy outings together, and savor some "adult time".
We have a sitter and a place for the children to play while we gather. So if you
have young children, infants through elementary school age, please join us!
Right now, we're meeting in the Church parlor, but will probably migrate to
individual homes later in the fall.
For information, please contact Kristen Locklin at: (703) 860-2184 or

It seems too early to be thinking about Back to School but it will be here before we know it and it's always good to plan ahead. So stock up on cards now from Staples for school supplies, Kohls for kid's clothes and Bed, Bath and Beyond for your college student's dorm room.
Since our Scrip team will be reduced in numbers, for the months of July and August we will be processing one order per month.
In July, orders are due by Sunday, July 11, and will be available for pickup on July 18. In August, orders are due by Sunday, August 8, and will be available for pickup on August 15.
We will continue to have Scrip-to-Go at our table after the 10:00 a.m. services during both months.
Please contact Annette Rhoads at or 703-471-6895 if you have any questions.
Thank you for supporting the church through this program!
