Children

We at Epiphany want to help you and your family grow in a loving, intimate relationship with Christ, praying together, worshipping together and becoming strong disciples in spreading the Gospel to others.

We strongly believe in reaching our community and our world by helping others through local outreach programs, missions and ministries. It is vital to reach children at an early age in their moral and spiritual development, therefore we offer many programs that come along side of you, as a parent, to strengthen your child's faith. The most important investment of our time and resources is our children for they are the future!

For more information on this program or becoming a part of this program, please contact Babette Arnold at .

Here's a snapshot of our Children's Programs on Sunday Mornings:

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, for ages 3 to 1st Grade

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a religious formation experience for children  based on the belief that young children can and do experience God. The aim of the program is to create an environment which supports children’s spiritual development. The Gospel is proclaimed through age-appropriate parable lessons, stories of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, prayers, music, sacred art and liturgical events. Hands-on materials are used to help children and adults reflect on the great mysteries of our faith.

Children's Chapel for Children in Grades 2th to 4th

Children's Chapel is a worship service for children in grades 2-4. It includes music, readings which follow the same liturgy as the main service, prayers, a special offering and a short activity to reinforce the readings. The children actively participate in the entire service and are encouraged to volunteer as readers and prayer leaders.

Children start out sitting in the Sanctuary with their family. Once the service starts, they follow the cross out to the Great Hall for Chapel. They return to the Sanctuary at the beginning of Communion.

Walk Through the Bible for Children in 5th and 6th Grades

Walk through the Bible is our Christian Education class for fifth and sixth graders. They explore the Old Testament one year and the New Testament the next year.

Nursery Ministry

A dedicated team of volunteers provides care to small children during our 9 AM Christian Education Hour and our 10 AM Worship services most Sundays of the year! We currently have 2 nursery rooms (Infants/Toddlers: Birth to 2yrs. and Preschool/Kindergarten: 3 years+) staffed by caring adults and teenagers.

Our mission is to provide a safe, loving and caring environment for our littlest members and visitors. Our ministry is a young child's first introduction to the church family and we have the opportunity to show them what a wonderful experience awaits them here at Epiphany. Children are welcomed into the nursery rooms where they are lovingly cared for by volunteers during church services and special events. It is the mission of our church to help individuals and families strive for spiritual growth and maturity. While children are being cared for in the nursery, parents and grandparents are free to attend worship services, participate in adult education classes or volunteer in a ministry to serve the Lord in our church.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir is an opportunity for the children of Church of the Epiphany to be a part of the liturgy. We meet in the Choir Room from 9:00 to 9:45 every week.
